Ravatherm Rockwool
Rock wool sandwich panels
Description & specifications
Ravatherm stone wool is made by melting volcanic rock and minerals at 1500–1600 °C and spinning them into fibre; the finished product is about 98% natural fibre. It is the insulation core of the rock wool sandwich panels we manufacture and is also supplied on its own.
What it does
• Thermal insulation for roofs and walls
• Acoustic insulation against outside noise
• Water-repellent, vapour-permeable structure that does not hold moisture
• Fire protection: its structure holds up to around 1000 °C and slows the spread of fire
Its inorganic structure gives bacteria and micro-organisms nothing to live on, and better insulation means lower energy use and CO₂ emissions.
